Walk the 11 sites we mapped and you see the same thing.
Only North Las Vegas runs a staffed gate. The other ten sit open to the road. Most 7-Eleven freight rolls in with no check-in and no clock running. Two McLane grocery DCs, Fort Worth and Fredericksburg, hold 180 of the 460 dock doors. The fresh-food commissaries are a fraction of their size. None of the 11 sites touch rail, so every case bound for a store leaves the dock on a truck. The supply chain review now on the table will not show this. A capacity study counts dock doors and trucks, not the open gate that wastes them. You run this freight through partners, and you cannot see a yard you do not control.

Across the 24 sites where it went live, those yards shipped about 5% more volume than the sites without it, on the same dock-office headcount. That alone is why Primo committed all ~260 sites to the full Yard Network System, the first national shipper to standardize every yard on one protocol. The YMS is rolling now.
